Tata Nano Electric: A Bold Plug-in Hybrid with 315 km Range

Tata Motors is eager to change the face of electric cars with the upcoming Tata Nano Electric, a cute hatch with all the works and efficiency to boot. Yes the Nano, already a favourite in India is entering its electric phase. 

Available features and stylish looks

It is believed that the Tata Nano Electric will have aesthetical design with more emphasis for modern looks. The body kit is expected to have more ground clearance and probably sleek new look alloy wheels which gives the car an aggressive classy look. The interior of the car will be as stylish as the exterior shell, providing a range of new technologies starting with the 7-inch touch display of the infotainment system which is compatible with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Bluetooth. 

Power and Performance

Another power of the car that can be viewed through the lens of its pros is the average distance the Tata Nano Electric can cover just on one charge of the battery – this number is 315 kilometers! The vehicle will be driven by a 15.5 kWh lithium-ion battery rechargeable system accompanied by the use of the electric motor from the BLDC technology. Sharing options will be a 15A home charger and a DC fast charger for faster recharging capability.

Expected Pricing and Launch

However, the Tata Motors has not publicly announced an official launch date for the car but the Tata Nano Electric is planning to launch at the market between the year 2025. Its cost should be rather low, which should help the car attract a number of buyers interested in affordable electric vehicles.
